Ozone Flux V1 Wing

The Ozone Flux features new thinking so that the canopy of the wing remains stiffer for longer thanks to its new pre-loaded leading-edge design. By selecting a Dacron material that is both rigid and strong Ozone’s designers been able to pre-load the leading edge and shape it so that it drastically reduces wing deformation when under load. While horizontal panels ensure a tighter canopy, resulting in the Flux delivering huge aerodynamic performance gains.

Weight is king and in selecting a 125g performance Dacron not only improves the rigidity in the frame of the wing but also makes it 20% lighter.

The Flux is also designed with many more horizontal panels in the wing canopy, distributing the load better along the warp of the fabric.

For where the loads are greatest Ozone have utilised a new, stronger canopy material on the leading and trailing edges provides creating kind of a ‘force field shield’ around the central wing section. This all helps create a stiffer and more durable wing.

Adding to the overall lightness of the Ozone Flux and providing you the rider with a seamless control system, Ozone has developed ergonomically shaped front and back carbon fibre handles in a pistol grip design. They have even gone as far as to make sure the front handle mount features a soft bumper so that to your head and board are protected during water starts.

The result of all this wing development and design is a wing that leaves you feeling confident, in control and ready to push your riding. The rigidity of the Flux delivers a big wind range, with very good bottom end grunt in light wind conditions while remaining easy to handle in higher winds.
